BAILIFF: This court is now in session. Please be seated.

32:37:54

COURT CLERK: Your Honor, for the purpose of the record, we return back to the trial of Commonwealth versus Lindsay Clancy. All parties are present, including the defendant and including the eighteen jurors.

42:38:02

THE COURT: All right. Everybody, thank you for your patience. I would give you a couple extra minutes to look at the solar eclipse while you're up. So what we're gonna do is we're gonna return now to the Commonwealth's case. And, Commonwealth, could I call your next witness, please?

52:38:19

MS. BUCKINGHAM: So prior to the witness, Your Honor, I would like to move to enter into the next exhibit the excerpted pages from the South Shore Health System, Perinatal Behavioral Health Program regarding the last witness, Latiesha Dukes.

62:38:34

THE COURT: Okay. Any objection?

72:38:34

MR. REDDINGTON: By agreement, Judge.

82:38:35

THE COURT: All right. So it's by agreement.

92:38:39

COURT REPORTER: Exhibit 226.

102:38:43

MS. BUCKINGHAM: And we would call Nicole Bradley as the next witness, please.

112:38:48

THE COURT: Thank you.

122:38:49

MR. REDDINGTON: Just for the record, Your Honor, I object. It's not contested. I don't think it's necessary, so I object.

132:38:57

THE COURT: All right. Same, same finding.

142:39:01
152:39:13

BAILIFF: Can you stop right here and raise your right hand for the clerk, please?

162:39:15

COURT CLERK: Good afternoon. Do you solemnly swear that the testimony you're about to give to the court and the jury will be the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth, so help you God?

172:39:24
182:39:25

COURT CLERK: Thank you. You may have a seat.

192:39:26

BAILIFF: Watch your step, please.

202:39:29

THE COURT: Hey, good afternoon.

212:39:30

NICOLE BRADLEY: Good afternoon. How are you?

222:39:31

THE COURT: Good, thanks. Just gonna ask you to keep your voice up so the jury can hear you, and speak into that microphone, okay?

232:39:36
242:39:37

THE COURT: Thank you. Yes, Commonwealth.

252:39:38

MS. BUCKINGHAM: Thank you. Could you please tell the jury your first and last name?

262:39:41

NICOLE BRADLEY: Yeah. Nicole Bradley.

272:39:42

MS. BUCKINGHAM: And where do you work?

282:39:44

[audio missing]

292:39:50

MS. BUCKINGHAM: And as one of the roles of the Field Services Division, does the sheriff's department engage with, in what's called hospital watch?

302:39:58

NICOLE BRADLEY: Yes, we do.

312:39:59

MS. BUCKINGHAM: Can you tell us very briefly what that is?

322:40:01

NICOLE BRADLEY: Yep. So if any safekeep detainee or inmate goes over to the hospital, we use our deputies and matrons to cover them on a security watch.

332:40:10

MS. BUCKINGHAM: And are the employees from the sheriff's department who are on those watches required to log the activity of who comes and goes from the individuals who they are there to watch?

342:40:22

NICOLE BRADLEY: Yes, they are.

352:40:22

MS. BUCKINGHAM: And are those records kept in the normal course of business at the sheriff's department?

362:40:27

NICOLE BRADLEY: Yes, they are.

372:40:27

MS. BUCKINGHAM: And you're familiar with those records and what they look like?

382:40:30

NICOLE BRADLEY: Yes, I am.

392:40:31

MS. BUCKINGHAM: If I may approach.

402:40:31

MR. REDDINGTON: Objection to the records being admitted.

412:40:32

THE COURT: Okay. All right. You wanna approach and then—

422:40:35

MS. BUCKINGHAM: Yes, please. Thank you.

432:40:37

THE COURT: Then there'll be no objection.

442:40:40

MS. BUCKINGHAM: Just going to show you a packet, if you could take a quick look at that.

452:40:48

NICOLE BRADLEY: Yep. Yeah.

462:40:49

MS. BUCKINGHAM: And does that packet reflect the hospital logs that are kept by the sheriff's department?

472:40:56

NICOLE BRADLEY: Yes, they are.

482:40:57

MS. BUCKINGHAM: And you're familiar that between January 25th, 2023, and December, or excuse me, February 3rd of 2023, that the sheriff's department engaged in hospital watch on a patient by the name of Lindsay Clancy?

492:41:11

NICOLE BRADLEY: Yes, I am.

502:41:12

MS. BUCKINGHAM: I would move to admit this as—

512:41:13

THE COURT: All right. Those may be admitted.

522:41:17

COURT REPORTER: Exhibit 227.

532:41:22

MS. BUCKINGHAM: No further questions. Thank you.

542:41:23

THE COURT: Mr. Reddington?

552:41:24

MR. REDDINGTON: No, thank you.

562:41:24

THE COURT: All right. Thank you, ma'am. Thank you.

572:41:25

MS. BUCKINGHAM: Thank you very much.
