Kyle Carney

Kyle Carney testified for the Commonwealth on Day 8 about his social contact with the Clancy family. A longtime friend of Patrick Clancy, he described Lindsay as kind and caring and reported no significant behavioral changes during earlier interactions, including after Cora's and Dawson's births and during summer 2022. His contact was intermittent, and he gave approximate frequencies and could not precisely recall summer gatherings.

Carney described hosting Patrick, Lindsay, Cora and Dawson on January 22, 2023, while Callan stayed with Lindsay's parents. He said he invited them to socialize outdoors while he burned brush in his backyard. He initially recalled Lindsay being quieter than normal.

When Jennifer Sprague asked about his earlier descriptions, Carney said their kitchen conversation was normal and Lindsay's behavior and demeanor appeared normal. That clarification did not eliminate his qualification about her quietness. The defense asked no questions.
