Melissa Arcadipane testified about preserving Lindsay Clancy's blood and urine specimens and transferring them to a trooper with a warrant. She recalled checking the labels but could not confirm the proposed vial count.
Melissa Arcadipane

Former supervisor of the specimen processing laboratory department at South Shore Hospital.
About
Melissa Arcadipane testified for the Commonwealth on Day 4 about the preservation and transfer of Lindsay Clancy's hospital specimens. The former South Shore Hospital specimen-processing supervisor explained how blood and urine samples ordinarily reached the laboratory from the emergency department through a pneumatic tube system.
Arcadipane confirmed that Clancy's blood and urine samples were separately retained after a January 24, 2023 preservation notice. She recalled retrieving the labeled specimens on January 31 and giving them to a trooper who brought a warrant. Although she remembered checking the labels, she could not confirm counsel's suggested count of six blood vials and one urine vial. Defense counsel asked her no questions.
Detective Mark Farioli separately identified Arcadipane as the person who handed him the specimens. He testified that he received six blood vials and one urine vial and took them directly to the state laboratory in Lakeville. His account supported the handoff while supplying a count that Arcadipane herself had not confirmed.
