About
Mark Tenerowicz testified for the Commonwealth on Day 4 about treating Dawson Clancy on January 24, 2023. He described Dawson arriving by ambulance with CPR underway, without a pulse, spontaneous breathing or responsiveness. He attributed the reported strangulation history to emergency personnel rather than his own observation and did not recall a neck finding.
On direct examination, Tenerowicz described continued CPR, assisted ventilation, fluids and medications intended to restart Dawson's heart and address complications. He believed hospital resuscitation continued for about 40 minutes beyond the paramedics' efforts. Dawson never developed a heart rhythm suitable for defibrillation. Tenerowicz confirmed declaring him deceased and, after a recent records review, believed the time was 7:28 PM.
On cross-examination, Tenerowicz confirmed that older bruises were on the lower leg near the shin and that an intraosseous device had been inserted into the tibia. He did not attribute the bruises to that device.
